Frequently asked questions
Q: How does the Zoom room work?
A: The Zoom room opens five minutes before class start. You login, roll out your mat (we frequently use blocks and a blanket and I also suggest substitutions if you don't have those) and take a rest/lie down until the hour.
Q: What style of yoga do you teach?
A: I am influenced by my teachers and say that my style is a blend of principles from Astanga (Beryl Bender Birch), Gary Kraftsow and Christa Grimm (Viniyoga) and Synne Håkanlind (Hatha). I veer toward gentle yoga and currently concentrate quite a bit on nervous system regulation.
Q: Is the class suitable for beginners and less-bendy folks?
A: It is an all-levels class. The thirty-minute format means we get a nice amount of stretching of all the big muscle groups!
Q: What's the cost and how do I pay?
A: It is $6 per class and I take payment via Venmo. You can try a first class free.
Q: What if I pre-pay for a week's classes and then have to miss one?
A: I work on the honor system. If you've paid for a class and can't attend, just come when you can. Also, if you know you'll have to miss but still want to do yoga that day you can pre-request a recording.
A note on camera and audio etiquette. Some people prefer to practice with their camera off, and that's okay. Make sure to check that your audio is muted. At class end we usually turn on cameras and audio to chat for a minute or so – this is also optional.
