About meI did my first yoga around the year 2000, after the birth of my second babe. It was a humbling beginning. I was so stressed out I couldn't take a deep belly breath.
My first class was a fiasco - I fell straight onto my nose trying to do a bakasana (crow pose). I decided to become a yoga teacher in 2005, because I believed that yoga is for every body, not just the lovely limber bendy ones. I feel blessed to have studied with Beryl Bender Birch and Gary Kraftsow as well as Synne Håkanlind and Christa Grimm. One thing you might not guess about me: I did my first yoga teacher training...in Swedish! |
To remember |
I believe in the benefits of yoga, and not just for the physical body, but also as a way to raise consciousness and gain gratefulness. There's a time for intensive yoga, and a time for relaxed and restorative yoga.

It is the responsibility of the yoga practitioner – this means you, and also, me – to make sure you don't do anything that is contraindicated by your health practitioner, or that just doesn't feel like the right thing at the particular moment you are doing it. Be safe. Namaste.
